This rare collection published by Thomas Jefferys, master cartographer and “Geographer to King George III”, is a beautifully produced study in costume across cultures. Featuring dresses from a variety of nations throughout time, Jefferys also included the habits of principal characters contemporary to the 18th century English stage.
