This plate is taken from the masterpiece work of Bloch called Ichthyologie and includes the characteristic traits of the predatorial fish such as the tooth-filled mouth, the glistening golden and iridescent scales, and the characteristic striping on the dorsal, anal, and caudal fins. It comes with the original calligraphy of Bloch in Latin, German, French, and English languages.
