There is also a remarkable ethnographic work done in the middle of the eighteenth century and entitled "A Kamtchadal in His Full Dress," engraved by Thomas Jefferys, Geographer to His Majesty King George III. The plate depicts the complex costume of the native people of Kamchatka, which includes their fur-lined parkas and special headdresses necessary for survival in the Siberian sub-arctic.
