Common American Crow

by John James Audubon

Transform your room into a place brimming with natural history by introducing Plate 156 from John James Audubon’s famous work, “Birds of America.” This fascinating illustration of the Common American Crow captures the essence of Audubon’s ability to animate his subjects through his artistry. The crow, rendered against the intricate background of leaves and fruit of a black walnut tree, is not simply depicted in stark black hues, but is shown to have a rich purple, blue, and charcoal shine.
