Produced sometime between 1757 and 1772 in London, the print is from a distinguished folio, “A Collection of the Dresses of Different Nations: Antient and Modern” by Jefferys which uses illustrations of historic costume design from renowned artists such as Caspar Rutz, Hans Holbein, and Wenzel Hollar. Depicted is a beautiful stiff collared and highly structured gown popular amongst royal wear in mid 16th century. Ideal for royalists and fans of vintage fashion prints.
