The 1568 depiction by Thomas Jefferys portrays the Habit of a Persian Lady in a very interesting and detailed way. Jefferys describes the layered beauty of Persian woman clothing in detail, particularly noting the full-length Persian tunic known as pirahan and the outer garment called kaftan. This print is also a great example of the head dress and veil used in that era. The use of draped clothing along with a very graceful pose makes up one of the main elements of the Western perception of "Oriental elegance" in the Renaissance period.
