by John Margolies

Journey back in time to the glory days of American roadside architecture through "Two Curves, Sir Goony Golf on Independence Boulevard in Charlotte, North Carolina" (1979), an iconic photograph taken by the celebrated architectural writer and photographer John Margolies.

This stunning photograph features the colorful geometric style of architecture of the 1950s and 1960s. Celebrated for his photographs that document the rapidly vanishing American vernacular landscape, Margolies shows us the charming curves, vivid pop colors, and nostalgic appeal of the classic Sir Goony Golf mini-golf complex on bustling Independence Boulevard in Charlotte, North Carolina.
