Dairy Treat Ice Cream Sign on Third Street in Dayton, Ohio

by John Margolies

Protect an integral part of American roadside heritage through the colorful 1987 photograph of the renowned Dairy Treat Ice Cream Sign on Third Street in Dayton, Ohio by photographer John Margolies. The creator behind the documentation of the fast-disappearing pop-architecture of the past century features the sign’s eye-catching red neon letters, its famous Pepsi background, and the huge, cherry-topped ice cream cup.

The architectural photography artwork is specifically designed for the lovers of mid-century roadside architecture, Americana artifacts, retro signs, and Ohio state history. With the help of the color saturation and geometric framing, it can add nostalgia to any room.
