Bob Type Ride in Point Pleasant, New Jersey

by John Margolies

Step back into the glory days of the Jersey Shore with this great 1978 photo from John Margolies, a celebrated architect and photography critic. This image was taken at Point Pleasant, New Jersey and showcases the famous "Bayern Kurve" bobsled-style amusement ride set against a clear blue sky, a classic symbol of nostalgia for the mid-century era.

This is one of many pieces by Margolies in his well-known "Roadside America" series (which is archived at the Library of Congress). Ideal for fans of mid-century Americana, the nostalgia of the Jersey Shore, and architectural history. Great for those who appreciate the art of pop photography. This fine art print is printed on museum-grade paper.
