This exceptionally rare stipple engraving by the renowned "Raphael of Flowers" Pierre-Joseph Redouté exemplifies one of the most beautiful botanical artworks produced during the period referred to as the Golden Age of Botanical Art. The artwork depicts the Climbing Lily (Gloriosa Superba/Methonica Superba). It has been sourced from one of the most important folio collections by the artist which features stipple engraving colored and hand-finished by the master himself.
