Barbados Lily

By Pierre-Joseph Redouté

Experience the masterpiece of the “Raphael of Flowers” in your very own house via this reproduction of the Barbados Lily (Amaryllis Equestris) by the great Pierre-Joseph Redouté, who was an illustrator during one of the most remarkable times in the history of botanic illustration. Observe how the exquisite stipple engraving method is executed in this work with its subtle shifts from pink to a vivid chartreuse throat, as if breathing life into the flower.

This magnificent art reproduction would be a great addition to both a contemporary and traditional room, or even a mix of both. It can be used as a solitary statement piece in a library or combined with other illustrations.
