This very rare print from the 18th century was engraved by Thomas Jefferys. It illustrates the uniform of honor and battle that was worn by Albert III, Duke of Saxony (1443-1500).

In this engraving, he appears as Captain General of the Low Countries in 1489. He was known for being instrumental in quelling the rebellions of the Flemish population against their Catholic rulers. This engraving is unique in that it illustrates the style that existed between Medieval times and the Renaissance.
