by John Margolies

Take your pick of Southern California heritage with this photograph by John Margolies of the legendary Helms Bakery in Culver City, California. The photograph highlights the bakery’s famed shield sign, which declares “HELMS BREAD – OLYMPIC WINNER” on its façade that sports a bright white Zigzag Moderne look and the famous saying: “Daily at Your Door.” A yellow Volkswagen Beetle parked by the side of the road completes the period charm of this photograph from Margolies’ sharp vision that highlights the beautiful typography, lines, and bright blue skies of Los Angeles.

A perfect fine art photograph for collectors of vintage signage, classic automobiles, West Coast history, and historic architecture.
