This beautiful historic print by the famous photographer John Margolies captures a charming view of Brown’s Hotel in Loch Sheldrake, New York. It features the hotel's impressive five-story grid of private balconies, with their white texture concrete frame, and golden-yellow accenting on the windows. There is a magnificent modern-day entrance called a porte-cochère, which says "Welcome JERRY LEWIS," thus emphasizing the great bond between Jerry Lewis and the resort.

There is also an amazing garden, with its manicured green lawn, flowering summer beds, and a long paved driveway leading towards the entrance. There are also a few automobiles from the era represented here, with a station wagon and a couple of sedans lining up on the right. This print preserves a piece of nostalgia of the Borscht Belt through Margolies’s characteristic documentary style and love for roadside America.
